Job DescriptionWe have an immediate opportunity for a 3rd Shift Machinist to join us at our diverse team in Freeport, IL. Danfoss is seeking an experienced CNC or machining technician. The Machinist operates and setups of conventional, numerical control (NC), and special purpose, machines and machining centers to machine steel and brass components. Danfoss is offering a $2500.00 sign-on bonus for new Machinist. 1/2 paid after 90 days and the other 1/2 after 6 months Job ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following. Demonstrates a commitment to maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work area. Follows safety regulations and actively contributes to work safety. Follows all standard work, control plans, all processes and quality guidelines. Must be able to operate multiple machines. Evaluates situations objectively and demonstrates the ability to make timely decisions that are intended to have a positive effect on work performance. Organizes and prioritizes work assignments to complete assignments/tasks on time, with quality, and can anticipate problem areas in advance. Applies creative approaches and ideas to solve problems maximizing effective use of appropriate resources. Perform all Total Productive Environment (TPE) activities as required. Possess appropriate personal tools as required.
