CNC Machinist Job Summary

Oberg Industries, a leading contract manufacturer and supply chain integrator, seeks a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team. As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up and operating computer-numeric-controlled machines to produce high-quality parts with precision and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate CNC machines to efficiently perform job tasks.
  • Understand and apply measuring tools and calibration requirements.
  • Contribute to process improvements and offer input on how to enhance operations.
  • Record time spent on each job and modify CNC programs as needed.
  • Ensure a full understanding of CNC operations and equipment.
  • Locate, diagnose, and correct problems in equipment and systems using test equipment and prior work experience.
  • Meet production targets and check finished dimensions to four-place tolerance.
  • Follow guidelines for the verification system and train other employees as required.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Successful completion of the apprenticeship program or equivalent experience required.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and engineering drawings, with knowledge of GD&T preferred.
  • Knowledge of algebra and trigonometry preferred.
  • Effective communication skills through written, verbal, or other means.
  • U.S. citizenship or ability to comply with U.S. export regulations.
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment, such as earplugs, safety glasses, and safety shoes.
