Job Title: Manufacturing Technician I

Location: Lenexa, KS

Job Type: Direct Hire (Permanent)

Pay Rate:


$21/hour
Additional $1.00/hour after Gowning Certification
Additional $2.00/hour weekend shift differential


Shifts:



Wednesday - Sunday:


5:30 AM - 2:00 PM (Wednesday - Sunday) Note: On Saturdays and Sundays, shifts will start at 9:00 AM through the end of 2024.
9:00 AM - 5:30 PM


Training Shifts: (Tenative schedule)


Saturday and Sunday shifts will start at 9:00 AM.
Training will include shifts from 5:30 AM - 2:00 PM (Wednesday - Friday) and 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM (Saturday - Sunday).




Job Summary:

Assist in vaccine production utilizing tissue and viral culture techniques in a large-scale clean room laboratory. Responsibilities include performing tissue culture with roller bottle vessels, preparing media, and documenting processes.

Key Responsibilities:


Perform aseptic techniques under a Grade A Laminar Air Flow hood.
Wear appropriate sterile gear: coveralls, goggles, face mask, gloves, and clean room boot coverings.
Follow and comprehend various Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Accurately document all procedures.
Perform basic tissue and viral culture tasks.
Assist in preparing growth and cryoprotectant mediums.
Collaborate with Laboratory Support Technicians.

Qualifications:


High School Diploma or GED required
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a science-related field preferred
Manufacturing experience preferred

Large-scale clean room manufacturing facility
Additional working hours may be required based on harvest time


Compensation and Benefits:


Starting rate: $21 - $24/hour with potential for career and salary progression
Evaluations at 6, 12, and 18 months
