Job Description and Key Responsibilities This is a mid-level position, reporting to the Electrical Engineering Supervisor. The electrical engineer will design and develop electrical/electronic design concepts and implement concepts into finished working designs in support of the development of next generation SONAR systems. Key responsibilities: Design analog and digital circuits to support acoustic navigation and location devices Design and develop electrical/electronic design concepts and implement concepts into finished working designs based on specification requirements, and inputs from customer and other engineers involving multidisciplinary activities Identify tasks associated with existing projects and estimate manpower and other resources required to execute objectives Review requirements for printed circuits, perform schematic and layout design of new boards Perform design analysis and create circuit level tests to establish validity of designs including thermal effects and power dissipation Develop or specify test methods and associated test equipment to verify board function Modem design - requires general knowledge of digital communication systems and signal processing of low to mid frequency bandwidths (
