The Lowell Graded School is seeking an innovative and energetic Speech Language Pathology Assistant / Paraprofessional to join their team. This is a school year position.Responsibilities include: Direct speech/language intervention with students K thru Grade 8, working with individuals and small groups. Consultation with SLP and teachers. Researching, designing visual schedules, data keeping, clerical work and documentation, preparing materials, analyzing classroom observation/intervention data. Using technology in language therapy. Providing support for hearing devices including hearing aids, sound field systems and personal FM systems Designing home programs. Providing academic or behavior support for individual students or small groups of students.Qualifications include: Completion of Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLP-A) Program and/or Bachelors Degree in Speech Language Pathology s strongly preferred.
