Job Overview:
Kolmac is seeking a dedicated and adaptable IOP Addiction Counselor to join our dynamic team of addiction treatment professionals. The Floater Addiction Counselor will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless and effective delivery of addiction counseling services across our various treatment programs.
The Counselor will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of various departments within our organization.
This position requires flexibility, strong clinical skills, and a passion for making a positive impact in the lives of individuals facing addiction challenges.

Job Functions Include:
Provides case management services which support a positive treatment outcomeServes as therapist in IOP and continued care groups, as well as provide individual therapy as needed for SUD and/or mental health disordersOrganizes and makes educational presentations related to behavioral health and recoveryDevelop patient-centered treatment plans based on results from the screening tools and bio psychosocial assessmentCollaborates with medical staff and treatment team as a wholeConsults with family members and referral sources in order to coordinate patient careEnsures adequate case management services are identified and addressedResponsible for maintaining electronic health records which include documentation of treatment activity and progressEnsures that patient records are accurate, comprehensive and meets regulatory standards2nd Shift / Hours 12:30PM-8:30PM


Qualifications - Education and Experience:
Must Haves:Must hold valid license in MD (Candidates must be licensed to provide services in MD prior to being hired)Strong clinical, verbal, and writing skillsAbility to work independently and with minimal supervisionIs engaging with patients, while promoting and maintaining accountability.Flexible and creative team playerVersatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work where needed, when neededMinimum of 2 years’ experience working in the SUD field. Experience and comfort with working in an electronic medical record.Knowledgeable and well-versed in various recovery modalities, including SMART Recovery, Women for Sobriety, 12-Step, Recovery Dharma, etc.Ability to travel to various sitesA minimum of three years of continuous sobriety is required – five years is preferred.Pluses:Group psychotherapy experience preferred, but not required.
Qualifications - Licenses and Other Required Credentials:
CAC-AD, LGADC, LGPC, LMSW, LCADC, LCPC, LCSW, LCSW-C in Maryland Kolmac has been a leader in Outpatient Treatment since 1973. Patient care is at the heart of what we do.
