Per Se is currently seeking a Mechanical QA/QC Representative for a long-term contract position supporting a premier renewable energy firm as part of our internal project team.
BASIC FUNCTION:
Responsible for overseeing and managing Mechanical Subcontractors and their work being performed on the utility scale solar sites while applying our Principle Based Management philosophy
ResponsibilitiesDevelop and improve processes and measures that drive consistent action and behaviors to maximize profitability and productivitySupport the team and subcontractors in understanding and applying safety and quality standards and practices while maintaining the construction scheduleImprove decision making through knowledge sharing, the challenge process, evaluation of alternatives and clear decision rightsMaintain and monitor schedule management, budget control and contract compliance related to MechanicalDevelop and communicate a comprehensive 3 week look ahead for Mechanical disciplines on the projectEnsure subcontractors work and site conditions are congruent with plans, specifications, and contractsMaintain daily reporting for internal and external stakeholders
Required Skills and ExperienceMust have demonstrated experience in mechanical qa/qc inspection, oversight and documentation over EPC and sub-contractorsMust have experience in solar new constructionDocumentation and inspections of piling, racking and module installation, logistics and site deliveryStrict adherence to contractors’ deliverables, qc, safetyExperience with racking systemsExperience with leading a self-perform crewAbility to operate equipment when necessaryExperience managing multiple contractors simultaneouslyExperience coordinating and planning with Civil and Electrical scopes of workExperience with pile driving, racking installation, and module installationProficient with Microsoft Office Suites including Word, Outlook, and ExcelExperience managing subcontractorsValid driver's licensePandoLogic.
