Executive Director Position at Fossil Rim Wildlife Center (FRWC), 501(c)3 conservation center in Glen Rose, TX. Values: Together, stewardship, discovery. Professional Qualifications and Expertise Bachelor's Degree required; Master’s Degree preferred. Five or more years of senior nonprofit management experience. Transparent and high‑integrity leadership. Business operations and fiscal management. Experience working with a Board of Directors. Strong passion for the mission and programs of FRWC. Strong interest in land conservation and maintaining or improving FRWC. Professional experience at a zoo or conservation organization. High‑level strategic thinking and planning. Effective communication of FRWC's mission to donors, volunteers, and community. Knowledge of fostering accountability, healthy work relationships, partnerships, and inclusivity. Balance innovation/entrepreneurial spirit with operational excellence. Strong financial management skills. Active fundraising experience. Strong donor relation skills. Strong public speaking ability. Strong written and oral communication. Strong work ethic and high energy. Awareness of opportunities and challenges of overseeing a conservation facility in a rural location. Work Requirements Full 5‑day week with flexibility. Availability on weekends and holidays. Adherence to all company policies, rules, and procedures. On‑site position at FRWC; not remote. Responsibilities Board Governance: Work with the Board to fulfill FRWC's Mission. Financial Performance and Viability: Develop resources, support development, oversee budget, ensure fiscal integrity. Organization Mission and Strategy: Strategic planning, program implementation, community outreach. Organization Operations and Internal Relations: Oversight of operations, staffing, staff development, legal compliance, signing of agreements. External Relations and Engagement: Represent FRWC, oversee marketing, maintain memberships and accreditations.
