The Role Design and implement complex projects that empower Redfin app developers to build and ship top‑rated real estate apps. Contribute to the long‑term Android platform strategy, considering technical and product concerns. Collaborate with teammates by reviewing code, writing documentation, refining best practices, and building maintainable, testable codebases. Work closely with product and design teams to understand user and business needs. Drive Android best practices and design principles, bringing in cutting‑edge industry trends. Use and evangelize approved AI code‑generation tools to document, architect, and create code. Who You Are Continually obsess over improving user experience, collaborating with product managers and designers or finding and squashing performance bottlenecks. 5+ years of development experience with at least 3 years of native Android experience. Practical experience building Android applications in Kotlin and Java and a solid understanding of computer science fundamentals. Effective communication: collaborate across distances, disagree constructively, respect ideas. Passion for clean, well‑architected code. Curiosity about mobile CI/CD cloud development technologies such as Bitrise, Jenkins, and related. Deep knowledge of at least one AI code‑generation tool such as GitHub Copilot, Anthropic Claude, Cursor, or similar. Actual base pay may vary based on location, qualifications, market, and operational needs. Compensation may also include bonuses and equity.
