Adjunct College Laboratory Technician - (College Now Program)GENERAL DUTIESPerforms highly-skilled laboratory functions and other technical duties in support of coursework.Sets up, maintains, and organizes student laboratoriesAssists students with setting up experiments and other learning exercises, and with the use of equipment and materialsMaintains appropriate safety and hygiene standardsMaintains required documentation related to laboratory activitiesManages equipment and materials inventoriesJOB INFORMATIONThe Kingsborough Community College - College Now Program is seeking dedicated and detail-oriented Adjunct College Laboratory Technician to join our team.The key responsibilities include:Assist faculty and students during sessions, providing technical support and guidanceMaintain and troubleshoot equipment, ensuring it is in good working conditionManage inventory of lab supplies and materials, ordering replacements as neededAssist in the development and implementation of new laboratory procedures and protocolsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSHigh School Diploma with a minimum of four years related experience. Additional education may be used to meet the experience requirement: an Associate degree may be substituted for two years experience, and a Bachelor's degree may be substituted for four years experience.OTHER QUALIFICATIONSStrong technical skills and familiarity with laboratory equipment and proceduresExcellent organizational and time management skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamStrong communication skills both written and verbalAttention to detail and commitment to the programCOMPENSATION AND BENEFITS$31.22 per hour.
