Land Coordinator - Purchasing will serve as the site development construction estimator and will be able to help prepare, assist with quantity estimates and cost estimates, and support detailed takeoffs on our site development projects.

Your Responsibilities on the Team 

  • Provide support to evaluate proposals, specifications, blueprints, and construction documents to understand the project as a whole.

  • Developing and maintaining relationships with trades and civil engineers. Work closely with the Land Development Managers to provide support to oversee and coordinate the bid process for vendors and subcontractors.

  • Assist with estimate construction materials, and product costs to determine overall cost for site development projects.

  • Help produce written cost estimates, budgets comparisons, and updates for director of land development.

  • Process budget amendments as needed in accordance with budget comparisons.

  • Follow up with trades on submitted proposals.

  • Review bid data to assist with preparing detailed a cost analysis.

  • Help compile and record actual costs versus estimates.

  • Assist with the processing of Work Orders and Purchase Orders.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • One (1) year of experience in land development, land development construction, estimating and/or project management preferred

  • High school diploma or GED required; college credit related to engineering or construction preferred

  • Valid and unrestricted driver’s license required

  • Some skills in AutoCAD, Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat and Project a plus

  • Excellent math/analytical skills and attention to detail

  • Strong written and verbal communication skill

  • Excellent time management skills

  • Team player

Physical & Office/Site Presence Requirements:

This is primarily a sedentary office position which requires the ability to occasionally bend, stoop, reach, lift, move and carry office supplies weighing 25 pounds or less. Finger dexterity is required to operate computer keyboard, calculator and telephone equipment.

General Overview of Compensation & Benefits:

We reasonably expect the base compensation offered for this position to range from an hourly rate of $21.55 - $37, subject to adjustment based on business-related factors such as employee qualifications, geographic pay differentials (e.g., cost of labor/living, etc.), and operational considerations.
  • This position may be eligible for bonuses.
  • This position may be eligible for commissions.
