DESCRIPTIONThe Route Sales Representative closes sales through face-to-face interaction with customers based within assigned sales territories. They meet with potential and existing customers to present sales proposals and inform them of product benefits and features. The Route Sales Representative will play a key role in increasing distribution and display activity by managing and negotiating with clients, research sales competition, qualifying prospects and managing sales of products and services.We offer: Job Stability, Set Schedule, Team Setting, Paid Time Off and BenefitsBonus: You will be eligible for a bonus of $1250 after 6 months of continuous active employment, and an additional $1250 after 1 year of continuous active employmentAcosta provides paid time off and complete benefits including medical, dental, vision and 401k options to both FT and PT associates. An Employee Assistance Program includes free, confidential access to counseling, programs, tools and services to help our employees and eligible family members live a balanced and happy life.RESPONSIBILITIESConduct professional product presentations to current Retail customersStimulate market growth through new distribution and coverage in independent Retail C-Stores that are supplied by cash & carry and c-store distributors in assigned geographyEvaluate customers skills, needs and build productive long lasting relationshipsAchieving sales goals and brand building presence and merchandisingAttend meetings, sales events and trainings to keep abreast of the latest developmentsAssists customers with ordering information and configurations; provides quotations on customer requirements and provides appropriate follow upUtilize iPad technology for reporting all inventory/sales made daily and weeklyPerforms any other appropriately related duty as requested by the Sales ManagerBe able to drive a company van (Ford Transit, Connect or similar) throughout the work dayManage cash and client product inventoryMust have a valid driver’s licenseAbility to follow navigation/directions, communicate, and solve customer challenges that might ariseBe able to lift up to 30 lbsBe able to push/pull up to 80 lbsQUALIFICATIONSPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSBe able to bend/stoop/squat/kneel throughout the work dayBe able to push/pull/reach/twistThe ideal candidate will have driven a Sprinter Van, Box Truck, Straight Truck, Step Van or like larger vehiclesBe able to lift up to 30lbsEDUCATION & EXPERIENCEHigh School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience required1-2 year’s sales related and/or consumer goods industry experience preferredKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIESMust possess strong interpersonal, organizational and sales skills with the ability to work effectively with team members, peers, management and external customer contactsMust be able to read and follow a plan-o-gram (POG)Must possess good problem-solving skillsMust be able to use an iPad/TabletMust have trip planning skills and comfort with driving a commercial van (Ford Transit Connect or similar)ABOUT USAcosta, and its subsidiaries, is an Equal Opportunity EmployerJob Category: RetailBusiness Unit: SalesSalary Range: $42,000.00 - $45,000.00Company: Acosta Employee Holdco LLCReq ID: 7369 #J-18808-Ljbffr
