Pay: $17 per hour
1st Shift Hours: 8 am - 5 pm, Monday-Friday
The Drafting Technician will play a crucial role in our client's engineering team, creating detailed technical drawings and plans used in the manufacturing and production process. Daily responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Create detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings and blueprints using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
- Interpret engineering sketches, specifications, and related data to produce accurate and precise drawings.
- Collaborate with engineers, production teams, and other stakeholders to ensure drawings meet project requirements and manufacturing standards.
- Update and revise existing drawings as necessary to reflect design changes or improvements.
- Maintain an organized library of drawings and ensure all documentation is up-to-date.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of drafting standards and practices.
- Conduct site visits to gather necessary data and measurements for drafting projects.
- Provide technical support and guidance to the production team during the manufacturing process.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree or technical certification in drafting, engineering technology, or a related field.
- At least three years of proven experience as a Drafting Technician in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and other relevant design tools.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and materials.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, and schematics.
- Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in drafting and design.
