Job Duties-



Setup lathe and/or horizontal boring mill and machine from drawings and shop routers.
Provides assistance in establishing set up and layout methods, order of operations, and application of required parts and materials.
Carries a job through from raw materials to the finished products from drawings, sketches, samples or verbal instruction.
Sharpens, reworks, resets and repairs cutting tools.
Inspects and checks parts being produced.
Maintains accurate production records and job history.
Keeps a clean and orderly work area.
Performs any other assigned duty as directed by management.



Qualifications/Experience



High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
10-12+ years of machining experience.
Has an extensive knowledge of machine uses and manufacturing materials.
Has an advanced knowledge of shop mathematics.
