Power BI Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Power BI Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing and developing Power BI reports, as well as expertise in SQL, data modeling, and the Power BI tool stack. You will play a critical role in transforming complex data into actionable insights that drive business decisions.


Key Responsibilities:


Power BI Report Design:

  • Design and develop advanced Power BI reports and dashboards that are visually compelling and easy to understand.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure that reports meet business needs.
  • Optimize report performance and ensure data accuracy and integrity.

Data Modeling:

  • Build and maintain complex data models to support analytical needs.
  • Work with large datasets, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.
  • Design and implement data architecture to enable efficient data flow and transformation.

DAX and Power BI Tool Stack Expertise:

  • Write complex DAX formulas to support custom calculations and metrics in Power BI.
  • Use Power Query to clean, transform, and load data into Power BI.
  • Utilize tools like DAX Studio and Tabular Editor to enhance Power BI models and optimize performance.

SQL Development:

  • Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
  • Collaborate with database administrators to ensure efficient database design and query performance.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with business analysts, data engineers, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Provide training and support to end-users to maximize the adoption and effectiveness of Power BI reports.

Qualifications:


Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Power BI development.
  • Proven expertise in designing and developing complex Power BI reports and dashboards.
  • Extensive experience in data modeling, SQL, DAX, and the Power BI tool stack.

Technical Skills:

  • Expert-level proficiency in Power BI, including Power Query, DAX Studio, and Tabular Editor.
  • Strong SQL development skills, including experience with large-scale databases.
  • In-depth understanding of data warehousing concepts and best practices.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
