Electromechanical Assembler

The ideal candidate canperformlight electronic and/or electromechanical assembly work forRadiofrequency switches, pushbutton switches, and similar assemblies.

Our Facility in Carson, CA is ourEngineered Products Group location, which houses our Human Machine Interface,Motion Control Device, Radiofrequency Departments.

Job Summary
  • Assembly procedures may involve soldering where accessis somewhat difficult.
  • Assembly of various detail parts into semi-complexassemblies using various assembly techniques.
  • Must be able to assemble parts using different types oftooling to achieve desired results.
  • Must be able to interpret instructions to mix variousepoxies and paints for marking/bonding.
  • Able to work with working parts or components whichrequire special care in handling or other procedures which require gooddexterity and facility in use of a variety of hand tools.
  • Work is not typically highly repetitive, but the cycleof repetition may be short enough to allow the development of some habitpatterns.
  • Must be able to work with assembly equipment such asarbor presses, pneumatic presses, ultrasonic welders, etc.
  • Must be able to work from wiring diagrams, detaileddrawings, standard work instructions (SWIs), or other input documents ofsimilar complexity.
  • May make minor procedural decisions in soldering,fitting, etc., but always within established guidelines.
  • Perform other assignments as required.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in allunits of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carryout instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form
  • Should have familiarity in reading and interpretingdocuments such as blue prints or mechanical drawings
  • Must be able to work under a 10X microscope
  • Basic knowledge of the types of Electronic Componentsis a must.
  • Ability to build electronic assemblies
Required Experience and Education
  • Vocational, High School diploma, or general educationdegree (GED); or 1-year related experience and/or training; or equivalentcombination of education and experience.
  • Prior solder and assembly experience. (5+ yearspreferred)
  • Experience with RF switches is highly preferred.
  • Experience with pushbutton switches is highlypreferred.
  • Minimum 5-7 years progressive experience in qualitymanagement with supervisory experience, including military, whereapplicable, and commercial customers
