In this Manager III role, you will lead a team of talented compiler software engineers in the design and development of a machine learning compiler. You will combine strong technical expertise with leadership abilities to drive the design and development of ML compiler solutions, drive execution, and mentor your team. Your work will involve developing features and optimization techniques, leading hardware bring-up of next-generation chips, and influencing pre-silicon design.ResponsibilitiesLead the design and development of ML compiler solutions for AWS Neuron.Drive feature development, optimization techniques, and compiler performance improvements.Mentor and manage a team of compiler software engineers; foster a high-growth, collaborative culture.Lead hardware bring-up activities for next-generation chips and influence pre-silicon design decisions.Collaborate with cross-functional partners across product management, hardware, and software teams to deliver impactful ML workloads.Basic QualificationsB.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or related field5+ years of engineering team management experienceExperience partnering with product managementStrong knowledge of developing and/or managing simulation softwareSolid understanding of compilers (resource management, instruction scheduling, code generation, compute graph optimization)Preferred QualificationsM.S. or Ph.D. in Computer Science or related technical fieldExperience with and deep learning models and algorithmsExperience with LLVM, LMIRInteractions with open-source communitiesAmazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. The base pay for this position ranges from $166,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $287,700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
