Director of Community Engagement, Alpha - $200,000/year USD This role is campus-based at one of the locations listed below and includes local travel when required. The remainder of their time is devoted to building real‑world competencies—critical thinking, public speaking, collaborative problem‑solving, and meaningful project work. There are no lectures, no filler assignments, only accelerated progress and performance in the top 1% nationally. This approach requires a fundamentally different relationship with parents—and you will lead it. You will serve as the public face of your campus, responsible for expanding enrollment, establishing trust, and cultivating advocacy. You will deliver persuasive information sessions, build meaningful community connections, and turn curiosity into committed waitlist growth. Your influence extends beyond recruitment. You will also function as the central contact for families once enrolled—responding to questions, strengthening loyalty, and transforming parents into vocal advocates for the Alpha model. Delivering persuasive information sessions and individual consultations that convert interested families into dedicated supporters. Acting as the principal liaison for parents—addressing issues, increasing satisfaction, and ensuring families feel consistently valued and supported once enrolled at Alpha. Establishing credibility and presence through consistent on‑campus engagement, local collaborations, and purposeful outreach efforts. Mobilizing parent advocates to drive referrals and expand community influence. What You Won’t Be Doing Using formulaic sales scripts or impersonal outreach methods. Transferring relationship responsibilities to campus personnel or assuming a passive posture. Allowing parent committees to compromise or redefine Alpha’s educational philosophy. Operating remotely—this role requires direct, continuous involvement in the parent and community experience. Basic Requirements Live within commuting range of one of the following campuses: San Francisco, CA; Santa Barbara, CA; Charlotte, NC; New York City, NY; Austin, TX; Chantilly, VA; or Dorado, PR. Authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship. 5+ years of professional experience working with families in education, community outreach, or enrollment settings. Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities. Demonstrated capacity to build trust and influence complex family decisions. The compensation level for this role is $100 USD/hour, which equates to $200,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
