The Senior Electrical and Controls Engineer is responsible for the design, development, component selection, procurement support, installation supervision, and testing for electrical equipment in the scope of the integrated pumping systems. Additionally, the Senior Electrical Engineer will be responsible for controls design and application including PLC programming selection and review for the integrated pumping systems. Your main responsibilities Lead electrical and controls system design for modular products, ensuring compliance with NEC, IEC, and local codes. Create and review technical documentation including one‑line diagrams, schematics, load lists, and Bills of Material using AutoCAD or similar tools. Collaborate across teams—manufacturing, purchasing, vendors, and clients—to align designs with project and production requirements. Support project lifecycle activities such as bidding, cost estimation, proposal generation, and commissioning. Review and approve submittals and RFIs, and provide technical responses to stakeholders and inspectors. Develop and maintain internal design standards, tools, and templates; implement industry best practices. Manage control systems including PLC‑based and fixed I/O systems, and support factory testing and field troubleshooting. Evaluate new technologies to enhance product design, manufacturability, and serviceability. Your background Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or Technology with 5+ years’ experience in electrical and/or controls system application, design, & manufacture Experience in pumping systems with a pump manufacturer is preferred. Strong expertise in electrical systems, including installation, low/medium voltage, and compliance with NEC, UL, and NEMA standards. Advanced proficiency in PLC and controls technology, including programming, diagnostics, and application design. Skilled in interpreting specifications and using design tools, such as AutoCAD, SAP (ERP), and product sizing software. Effective communicator and collaborator, with strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills for engaging stakeholders. Highly organized and accountable, capable of managing multiple priorities independently in a fast‑paced environment. The ability to operate daily out of the Waller, TX facility in a hybrid function. Please note that relocation for this position cannot be supported and qualified candidate must have the authorization to work in the USA without support. The salary range for this position is $87,312 to $137,996. Individual pay will be determined based on market location and the candidate’s profile. The range listed is just one component of Grundfos’s & Peerless Pump Company total compensation and benefits package for employees. Total compensation includes paid time off, paid holidays, merit increases, bonuses, and employee stock purchase programs, etc. Certain roles are eligible to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization.
