The Control Systems / Electrical Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining electrical and instrumentation systems that support safe, reliable, and efficient operations. This role requires hands-on technical expertise, cross-functional collaboration, and a commitment to operational excellence in an industrial environment.Job Type: Temp-to-HirePay Rate: $90,000-$120,000/year, depending on experienceBenefits: Medical, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO, and more.Control Systems / Electrical Engineer Responsibilities:Design, develop, and maintain control systems, instrumentation, and electrical equipmentConfigure, program, and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, DCS, and related automation systemsDevelop and review electrical schematics, P&IDs, loop diagrams, and technical drawingsSupport installation, commissioning, and startup of control and electrical systemsMonitor system performance and perform preventive maintenance to ensure reliabilityConduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for system failuresCollaborate with engineering, production, and maintenance teams to improve system efficiencyEnsure compliance with electrical codes, industry standards, and safety regulationsPrepare technical documentation, user manuals, and maintenance proceduresParticipate in Management of Change (MOC) reviews and ensure proper documentation of system modificationsProvide technical support during shutdowns, turnarounds, and emergency troubleshootingOther duties as assignedControl Systems / Electrical Engineer Skills and Abilities:Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles, process instrumentation, and automation systemsProficiency in PLC/DCS programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Client, or similar)Familiarity with CAD tools for electrical design (AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, etc.)Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skillsAbility to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environmentStrong communication and teamwork abilitiesMust be able to speak and write EnglishMust be able to legally work in the United StatesThis is not a remote position; no relocation assistance is providedControl Systems / Electrical Engineer Education and Experience:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or related field2+ years of experience in controls, instrumentation, or electrical engineering in an industrial environment preferredExperience with industrial automation, SCADA systems, or field instrumentation is highly desirableKnowledge of NEC, NFPA, ISA, and IEC standardsPE license or EIT certification is a plusControl Systems / Electrical Engineer Physical and Environmental Requirements:Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionallyMust be able to sit or stand for extended periods while working at a desk or in the fieldMust be able to walk, bend, climb stairs, and access elevated platforms in industrial settingsMust be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hats, safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protectionMust be able to work in environments with exposure to electrical equipment, noise, and varying temperaturesMust be able to travel domestically or internationally as required by project needsMust be able to respond to operational needs outside of standard business hours when necessaryControl Systems / Electrical Engineer - Immediate need.
