Registered Nurse

Title: Registered Nurse (Adult medicine)


Location: Dorchester, MA
Schedule: 40 HPW (1-2 evenings weekly until 9pm)
Assignment: 3-6month assignment starting ASAP
Pay: $50/hr

Requirements:
Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (preferred)
Experience:

Primary care experience (Required)
Minimum of one-year Ambulatory Care experience
2 years’ experience in adult or medical/surgical setting (Preferred)
Bilingual Candidates are highly encouraged to apply.

Certification/Licensure:

Valid RN license in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Current CPR certification.

General Duties and Responsibilities:


Directs the practice of medical assistants and LPNs.
Demonstrates ability to work as a team member; participates in orienting peers.
Reviews and communicates test results per protocol.
Completes accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record.
Performs patient triage.
Provides patient education.
Administers medication, immunizations and treatments as ordered.
Performs charge nurse responsibilities.
Assists with management of urgent and emergent patient care situations.
Assists with or performs procedures.
Manages communication from internal and external sources.
Attends nursing and organizational meetings and participates in QI initiatives.
Provides safe, ethical, evidence based and culturally competent care.
Floats to other nursing departments as need arises.
