This leader is responsible for personal sales, store sales goals, leading a team, managing operations, delivering an exceptional customer experience, and implementing strategies to achieve revenue goals. Total Compensation Range: $60,000 – $95,000 per year (base, commission and bonus). Key Responsibilities Provide guidance, training and support to sales teams to improve sales techniques, strategies and overall performance. Lead and supervise the entire employee life cycle, including recruitment, selection, training, development and succession planning. Enhance employee engagement, nurture a positive workplace culture and build effective teams. Communicate effectively. Achieve or surpass store and annual operating benchmarks. Evaluate team performance, objectives and behaviors to determine effectiveness. Model the highest standards for surpassing customer expectations and teach established sales and design processes. Sustain store profitability by maintaining profit‑and‑loss statements, financial metrics and margins. Leverage store visit forms and host regular weekly, monthly and quarterly meetings. Ensure proper execution of all systems and administrative procedures and collaborate with support teams. Adhere to legal and efficient accounting procedures. Plan and execute sales promotions and events as needed for market improvement. Model and teach product knowledge and champion the brand strategy and customer experience. Align merchandising, pricing and product flow with company standards and uphold visual standards. Scope & Impact This position has significant influence over the store’s financial health, team morale, operational efficiency and overall customer experience. Store revenue up to $5 million per year with leadership of up to 15 direct reports. Minimum Requirements Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Experience: 3‑5 years in a sales‑retail emphasis. Skills: Microsoft Office 365 proficiency, financial understanding, interpersonal communication, analytical abilities, goal orientation, team management and customer service. Availability: Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required. Preferred Requirements Experience managing in a retail environment with a strong focus on sales. Thorough understanding of profit and loss. Strong business acumen. Advanced interpersonal and communication skills and experience in building effective relationships. Supervisory Responsibilities Up to 15 direct reports. Physical Demands Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive hand motions. Often required to sit, walk, bend and stoop. Subject to indoor environmental conditions. Pass background and drug screen. Other Duties This job description is not exhaustive. Duties may change at any time with or without notice. What You Can Expect Total Compensation Range: $60,000 – $95,000 per year (base, commission and bonus). Base Pay: $60,000 per year. Commission & Bonus: Uncapped commission on written sales – 3% on La‑Z‑Boy Design Sales and 2% on other sales; optional monthly bonus $0–$1,500 based on group sales goals. Weekly Hours 40 hours. Benefits Medical, vision, dental and basic life insurance; 401(k) retirement plan with up to 6% match; paid time off: 9‑11 holidays, two weeks prorated vacation for new hires, and personal or state mandated sick time.
