Vehicle Dynamics Manager

Position Overview

Front Row Motorsports is looking for an experienced race engineer to lead the efforts of our three Cup Series teams.  This role will guide the engineers of each team on setup decisions, race strategy, car build process, simulation, track testing and many more tasks that are paramount to our on-track success.

Responsibilities

-              Work directly with crew chiefs and management to identify priorities and areas for improvement

-              Oversee and coordinate the efforts of race engineers on all three teams

-              Advise all setup, strategy and car build decisions

-              Act as liaison between software developers and end users

-              Participate in tire and wheel force testing when applicable

-              Oversee usage of our simulation tool and ensure parity amongst all teams

-              Review post-race data and advise teams on a direction for improvement

-              Occasionally attend races as a fill-in or as desired

-              Assist in preparation and execution of simulator sessions

-              Participate in development of current and future race engineers

-              Operate in a team environment and work well with a mixed group of talents

Qualifications

-              Bachelor's degree or higher in mechanical engineering

-              5+ years of race engineer experience

-              Strong vehicle dynamics background

-              Strong problem-solving skills

-              Knowledge of NASCAR rules

-              Clear communication and teamwork skills
