We provide end-to-end financial support driving AWS to be the low cost provider in Cloud computing and leader in customer experience. This includes supporting business owners in building, operating and innovating our Cloud data centers. We support operations, business development, and engineering. You should be passionate about producing financial analysis enabling management to make breakthrough decisions, drive cash flow, and ultimately delight our customers. This role will be directly involved in supporting the operations of our largest data center campuses ever built and enabling the expansion of ML/AI services.Key responsibilitiesServe as the key business partner working directly with regional AWS management and other internal stakeholders to provide financial recommendations. You must have the ability to structure problems, perform analysis, and present to your business partners. Supporting business partners at Amazon requires the ability to dissent, while building trust with your business partnersReport weekly and monthly financial and operating metricsManage the financial planning process. Model, analyze and forecast metrics that drive budgeting, forecasting and business decisionsBe an integral member in the monthly financial close process and perform ad hoc projects and analysis as neededAnalyze business results for key takeaways to achieve business objectivesMonitor compliance with controls and systems, and developing new processes to support the fast-growing, global AWS businessPrepare detailed financial models for business segments, drive business initiatives, and identify, implement, and deliver key operational efficienciesBasic QualificationsBachelor\'s degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experiencePreferred Qualifications4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experienceMBA, or CPAKnowledge of TableauExperience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence2+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience2+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experienceAmazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers. The base pay for this position ranges from $60,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market.
