EDUCATION
• Bachelors degree in (preferably) Engineering, Engineering Technology or Construction Management. Without a degree, five years in nuclear, industrial or commercial construction, facilities, engineering, maintenance, planning or outage may be considered in lieu of. (Required)
EXPERIENCE
• 10 Years + experience in nuclear, industrial or commercial construction, engineering, maintenance, planning or outage, of which a minimum of three years shall be in a supervisory or management position at a nuclear power plant. (Required)

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
PEOPLE MANAGEMENT:
Performs people management.
• Prepares and delivers oral and written communications relating to work group and station activities (e.g., reports, presentations, department meetings).
• Monitors work group reports and recommendations to assure evaluations, assessments and support are effectively developed and communicated.
• Develops and maintains appropriate technical expertise within the work group to ensure adequate talent to perform meaningful assessments and program oversight.
• Represents department/company on internal work teams and committees and with external entities.
• Maintains composure in high stress or adverse situations.
• Understands and implements company policies.
FACILITIES AND MAINTENANCE PROJECTS MANAGEMENT:
Manages all aspects of development, revision and maintenance of section procedures to ensure compliance with station and regulatory requirements.
• Makes Contract Technical Coordinator (CTC) assignments for each contractor providing assigned contractor services.
• Directs and coordinates the technical performance of assigned discipline supervision and personnel.
• Represents the Maintenance organization on internal work teams or external groups.
• Assists assigned discipline personnel in analyzing technical issues and correcting problems to mitigate schedule impacts. Mentor personnel through challenges.
FISCAL ACCOUNTABILITY:
Maintains fiscal records and procedures of the department to ensure the effective and efficient operations.
• Understands and manages to financial and budget targets. Incorporates financial analysis into strategic decisions.
• Proactively monitors and interprets ongoing financial performance and responds strategically.
• Incorporates financial analysis into strategic decisions and takes accountability for financial decisions within area.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
• Accept ERO position as needed.
• Accept outage position as needed.
• Perform personnel activities for direct reports (promotions, salary changes, counseling, performance appraisals, development plans).
• Manage organization and related activities.
• Develop, implement and manage the business plan, budget, goals, training requirements and performance measures for responsible organization.
• Oversee department’s CAP program. Establish timeline to close open items.
• Coordinate and chair meetings with departments, management and executive personnel.
SPECIAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND QUALIFICATIONS
• Ability to obtain and maintain unescorted access.
• Capable of functioning with minimum guidance and direction in fulfilling assigned tasks and objectives in areas where precedents are not clearly established.
• High degree of initiative
• Ability to accept responsibility for the organization's activities and outcomes.
• Knowledge of Company processes and procedures
• Firm understanding of STP Goals and long-term plans.
• Superior communications skills. Ability to represent the Company in a professional manner.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to interface effectively with management, bargaining unit personnel and Union representatives. Demonstrated ability to interpret and implement Collective Bargaining Agreements.
• Basic knowledge of nuclear industry codes, standards, and guidelines.
• Ability to manage a large and complex service organization.
WORKING CONDITIONS
• Overtime and alternate work schedules as needed.
• Subject to callouts twenty-four hours per day seven days per week.
• Continuous viewing of computer monitor may be required.
• Office, plant and outside environment in varied weather conditions. Incumbents will be required to kneel, climb, stoop and bend to safely negotiate around operating plant equipment while performing field walkdowns and management of work activities.
• May be required to carry pager/phone.
