Job Description

We are seeking a Data & Financial Analyst who is diligent, intellectually curious, and self-motivated, with a keen willingness to learn and grow within our dynamic team. As an integral member of our data analytics team, this role involves collaborating closely with our client service associates, other data & financial analysts and the relationship management team. Key responsibilities include ingesting and analyzing client cash liquidity and treasury data under tight deadlines, development of monthly and quarterly client analyses, assisting with development of new automation initiatives, ad hoc data analyses and supporting business development efforts.


As a key member of our team, you will create unique analyses of client data, supporting optimization of their cash liquidity strategies, increasing the resources to communities across the Country.  The successful candidate will possess a strong attention to detail, thoughtful problem-solving skills, and a demonstrated ability to present analyses through clear verbal and written communication.  A commitment to working collaboratively within a team environment is essential to succeed in this role.


Responsibilities

  • Ingest and analyze client data ensuring the ability to accurately report in a timely manner.
  • Develop monthly and quarterly cashVest reports, analyzing client cash liquidity and treasury data while ensuring data accuracy.
  • Identify analysis and reporting improvements that enable a deeper dive into client financial data.
  • Collaborate across teams to support and develop new initiatives.
  • Use proprietary software to manage and analyze client data.
  • Prepare ad hoc analyses that support creative problem solving for clients, helping them maximize their resources while also supporting client retention.
  • Partner with Client Service Associates to prepare and ingest data for client reporting.
  • Uphold strict confidentiality regarding all financial data.


Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies

  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications and the Google Apps Suite (Gmail, Drive, Calendar, etc.).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively to senior policymakers on complex financial issues.
  • Intellectually curious with a desire to learn and development.
  • Impeccable attention to detail, organizational skills and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively.
  • Ability to take feedback constructively with an improvement-focused attitude.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
  • Discretion in dealing with sensitive client financial information that must be kept confidential.

Roll Type/Location

  • Full-Time
  • The position is primarily onsite at our Pittsford, NY office but we offer the potential for flexible hybrid work location.


Preferred Qualifications and Experience

  • Undergraduate degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Information Technology, Public Administration or related fields is a plus.
  • Any prior financial/economic analysis, banking, or public service experience is a plus.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (especially Excel) and the Google Apps Suite (Gmail, Drive, Calendar, etc.). Familiarity with SQL, R analytics and other programming languages is a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, strategic planning, and project management skills.
  • Strong ability to work and partner with team members to deliver results in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Ability to manage tight deadlines, prioritize workload, and achieve effective results in a dynamic, ever-growing, and evolving environment.
  • Comfortable working between multiple computer systems and multiple virtual meeting tools
  • Active team player, self-starter, and multitasker who can quickly adjust priorities.
