About The Position

As the Lunar Data Network Program Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the strategic and operational aspects of our LDN business segment, specifically centered around NASA’s Near Space Network contract. You will lead a multidisciplinary team to manage the development, deployment, and enhancement of our lunar data relay satellites, ground stations, and associated infrastructure. Your expertise in satellite communications, ground station operations, and program management will be crucial in ensuring the successful execution of our projects and meeting future cislunar market needs.


Responsibilities:

  • Define and execute the strategic vision for the Lunar Data Network division, aligning with Intuitive Machines' overall business objectives. Develop long-term plans to evolve and expand our network capabilities in response to market demands and technological advancements.
  • Oversee the full lifecycle of LDN projects, from conception through deployment and operational support. Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and internal teams. Build and maintain strong relationships to ensure alignment and address any issues that arise.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to address technical, financial, and operational challenges. Implement robust risk management practices to safeguard program success.
  • Develop and manage program budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources. Monitor financial performance and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape. Utilize this knowledge to drive innovation and maintain Intuitive Machines' leadership position in the cislunar market.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) preferred.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in program management within the space industry, with a strong focus on satellite communications, ground stations, and data relay systems. Proven track record of leading complex, multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Deep understanding of satellite communications technologies, ground station operations, and data relay systems. Experience with lunar missions and cislunar space operations is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams, manage stakeholder relationships, and drive program success. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • PMP or similar certification is preferred.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance may be required.
