Physical Therapy Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will assist licensed physical therapists in providing high-quality patient care, focusing on rehabilitation and recovery. This role is essential in helping patients regain mobility, strength, and function through various therapeutic techniques and exercises.
*Responsibilities* * Assist physical therapists in implementing treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs. * Perform therapeutic exercises and modalities as directed by the supervising therapist. * Conduct assessments of patients' progress and report findings to the physical therapist. * Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment plans and home exercise programs. * Maintain accurate documentation of patient care, progress notes, and discharge planning. * Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in inpatient and outpatient settings to ensure comprehensive patient care. * Utilize knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, and orthopedics to enhance patient treatment outcomes. * Engage in trigger point therapy techniques as needed for pain management. * Work effectively with pediatric patients, adapting treatments to meet their unique needs.
*Experience* Candidates should possess a strong background in physical therapy practices, with experience or knowledge in the following areas being highly beneficial: * Trigger point therapy * Pediatrics * Medical terminology * Inpatient care * Anatomy knowledge * Acute care settings * Clinic operations * Patient care methodologies * Discharge planning processes * Orthopedic rehabilitation

Pay: $33.00 - $37.00 per hour
