COOKING STUDIO MANAGER- NASHVILLE

After over 292 years in operation, ZWILLING is opening its 2nd US Cooking Studio in Nashville, TN We are seeking a Cooking Studio Manager who will oversee all aspects of our new cooking studio in Nashville, ensuring its successful launch and ongoing operations.

The Cooking Studio Manager will be responsible for the staffing and coordinating of cooking classes. The Cooking Studio Manager will collaborate with marketing teams to attract and retain customers through enticing class schedules and online promotion. They will also maintain a safe and clean studio environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.

This role requires a motivated individual with strong organizational and leadership skills, dedicated to providing exceptional customer service.

The ZWILLING Cooking Studio will be used to develop, test and run multiple cooking classes and workshops educating on cooking techniques, different cuisines, wine/beer/liquor pairings and the specific benefits of using our products during these classes. The Zwilling Cooking studio will offer hands on cooking classes, as well as corporate and private cooking events.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage daily cooking studio operations and staff (including interviewing, hiring, documentation, training & development, and discipline/termination)
  • Create weekly shift schedules for staff members in alignment with business needs.
  • Serve as a role model and exemplify the expected standards of the Cooking Studio.
  • Instruct cooking classes, camps, and parties for individuals of all ages.
  • Upsell and Cross-sell kitchenware products by effectively showcasing their value/benefits during cooking classes and private events.
  • Engage and educate guests on various cooking and baking skills related to the class menu.
  • Ensure all guests have a great experience and address any customer inquiries or concerns.
  • Act as an emergency substitute if an employee is unable to attend their shift.
  • Perform routine inventories and manage purchasing within food cost parameters.
  • Manage the cooking studio P&L, striking a healthy balance between profit and quality/customer experience.
  • Collaborate with management team to plan and price menu items.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, systems, and laws, maintaining the Cooking Studio’s standards.
  • Identify opportunities to improve and streamline operational systems for increased efficiency.
  • Maintain high cleanliness and branding standards in the kitchen facility.
  • Assist in responding to sales inquiries and bookings, ensuring the right fit for clients and meeting sales goals.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 1-3 years of management and culinary experience, strong leadership skills with the ability to recruit, train, and motivate staff.
  • Previous experience in a cooking studio/events business is preferred.
  • ServSafe Manager Certified (or willing to earn certification upon hire)
  • Proficiency in a range of cooking techniques and recipes
  • Attention to detail and familiarity with working in fast-paced environments.
  • Team player, with an optimistic demeanor willing to be patient with individuals of all skill levels.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Prior culinary education is a plus.
  • Shift flexibility including nights and weekends as required.
