For benefits information, please review the Walgreens benefits page.ResponsibilitiesPerform day-to-day non-clinical pharmacy operations and administrative activities where allowed by state and federal laws; ensure efficient pharmacy workflow and a positive patient experience. Serve as a full-time certified pharmacy technician.Operate pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions. Under the supervision of a pharmacist, supervise pharmacy technicians and cashiers within company policies and legal requirements.Select, schedule, and develop pharmacy technician personnel. Lead training, coaching, and performance management of technicians. Make decisions regarding performance management including discipline and termination.Engage customers and patients, resolve complaints, answer non-clinical questions, and model customer service best practices to enhance the customer experience.Assist pharmacists in patient care activities including patient registration, prescription data entry, medication preparation, counting, and verification where allowed by law. Support health services such as vaccines and health screenings where permitted.Delegate, direct, and assign non-clinical work in the pharmacy, ensuring on-time task completion and accountability for efficient workflow. Prepare reports and records as required by the company and government agencies.Manage core pharmacy workflow, daily schedules, and inventory management. Ensure the pharmacy is stocked, clean, and compliant with policies and regulations.Drive technology and process improvements, oversee recordkeeping and security safeguards, and support compliance with Good Faith Dispensing requirements.Monitor for diversion and report concerns; communicate prescription errors to the pharmacist; participate in continuous quality improvement.Process insurance claims accurately, resolve issues, and participate in third-party audits. Support store and pharmacy managers in improving financials, quality, and service.Coordinate off-site immunization clinics and community events as directed; build relationships with retail partnerships.QualificationsHigh School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.PTCB or ExCPT certification (except in Puerto Rico).One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking) except where prohibited by law.Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire (where permitted).Preferred: previous people management/leadership experience; prior Walgreens experience with a record of strong performance.Note: We will consider employment of qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records. #J-18808-Ljbffr
