Information Technology Specialist (Security) Join to apply for the Information Technology Specialist (Security) role at U.S. Customs and Border Protection. Locations Washington, District of Columbia Indianapolis, Indiana Minneapolis, Minnesota Duties Develop and improve information systems to meet agency-wide business requirements of customer organizations. Perform as an Information System Security Officer over HRM Information Technology (IT) systems with CBP-wide or HRM-wide impact. Support all aspects of IT privacy, security, audit, and compliance standards and development improvements for CBP's Human Capital Enterprise. Provide analysis, development, implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of IT security products and services to ensure systems are secure and mitigate vulnerabilities and risks. Design, develop, test, and evaluate IT cybersecurity throughout the development lifecycle. Conduct quality control on all privacy and security related submissions and identify systems violations to recommend corrective actions. Lead collaborations with the Office of Information Technology (OIT), the Privacy Office (PO), and other DHS components on matters related to privacy and security. Requirements U.S. Citizen. Male, born after 12/31/1959, registered with Selective Service. Primary U.S. residency for at least three of the last five years. Able to pass a background investigation. Experience – One year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level, including: implementing high-level security requirements, responding to enterprise‑level crises, and identifying potential improvements in security plans and policies.
