Position Summary:The Senior Marketing Manager is a key leader on the Marketing team, responsible for driving retention and acquisition of Minnesota Orchestra subscribers. This position is responsible for meeting and exceeding earned revenue and tickets sold on subscription campaigns. Our working relationships are based on respect for each other as individuals, confidence in one another, and a genuine desire to actively listen and collaborate with each other.We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive organization that honors and reflects the community we serve, welcomes, and instills diversity across our organization, and nurtures an equitable and inclusive culture.Essential Functions: 75% Subscription/Membership CampaignDirect and manage all subscription and membership campaigns and increase retention and membership of each subscriber segment through multi-channel marketing mix: direct mail, email, automated email, paid social, Season Sampler and Season Preview events, and other channels.Document and update annual campaign plan and strategy on an ongoing basis.Develop segmented, multi-channel customer communications strategies across email, web, mobile, to increase retention rates and lifetime spend.In partnership with Director of Marketing and revenue accelerator consultant, analyze weekly subscription sales progress compared to previous years, routinely reporting on trends and assessing progress toward meeting audience and revenue targets.Consistently and routinely optimize campaign tactics by implementing a continuous learning cycle informed by data. Adopt a test, measure, and refine methodology to run subscription and membership programs to increase retention and reduce churn.Develop, execute, and evaluate annual loyalty strategy/campaign that focuses on customer relationships to increase frequency of attendance and retention.Liaise with development department to determine the best strategy for new fundraising leads, collaborating with development and coordinating handoff of new leads vis a vis fundraising timelines and activations.Lead subscriber data analysis, reporting, and research projects in coordination with CRM administrator/analyst, marketing leadership and consultants.Manage timetable/production schedule for subscription campaign and season launch coordinating closely with Artistic, Development, Communications, and Audience Services departments, ensuring all deadlines are met.Write creative briefs for overarching subscription campaign and direct mail pieces and work closely with Creative Director and Graphic Designer on production of marketing collateral.Work with Senior Website Manager to drive best practice in website user experience and provide content for performance and audience landing pages.Collaborate with Digital Marketing Specialist on email content creation and timelines.Write/edit copy for marketing collateral as well as provide direction/key messages for other copywriters on the team.Work closely with colleagues in Audience Services, Communications and Marketing areas to advocate for audiences and actively advance audience relationships and loyalty.Develop and monitor expense budgets for costs related to subscription campaigns.Perform other duties as assigned.25% Administrative dutiesServes as primary administrator of project management system (Basecamp)Create jobs in Basecamp for all subscription campaign projects and other projects as assignedWorks with internal team to coordinate, schedule and track multiple communication projects simultaneouslyIdentifies opportunities to adjust and revise work processes to increase efficiencyWork with Finance Department to properly fund postage account balance large-scale direct mail campaignsProcesses postage statementsCreate and maintain subscription campaign budget, track all expenses against plan and budget; reconcile with finance reporting on regular basisBuild targeted lists from Tessitura for marketing campaigns as neededLead weekly team meetings as requestedWork Environment and Physical and Mental Demands:The Minnesota Orchestra is primarily a place-based organization, offering hybrid schedules that require some in-person, on-site work.
