It is a high‑growth, private‑equity backed consolidator focused on organic and inorganic growth through acquisitions and partnerships.Job OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounts Payable Lead to join our Finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in full‑cycle AP within a high‑performing, fast‑paced corporate environment. The role requires a detail‑oriented individual with excellent analytical skills and the ability to collaborate across departments.Location & CompensationOnsite – Oakbrook, IL (Headquarters)Annual Salary: $75,000–$85,000 plus full suite of benefits (health, dental, 401(k), etc.)Key ResponsibilitiesManage the full‑cycle AP process, ensuring timely and accurate invoice processing, approvals, and payment execution.Supervise and provide oversight to AP clerks, managing workloads, deadlines, and workflows.Monitor AP inbox and respond to inquiries, acting as a liaison between the company and vendor contacts.Ensure invoices are coded, matched, and posted accurately in alignment with internal and external deadlines.Set up and maintain vendors, acting as a liaison between the company and vendor contacts.Manage weekly payment runs, ensuring payments are processed accurately, securely, and in accordance with contractual terms.Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support business initiatives and provide financial insights.Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.Aid in developing a centralized accounting function & AP tools to streamline processes and improve efficiency across the organization.Drive process efficiency, metrics (e.g., days payable outstanding), vendor payment strategy, assist with audit/compliance, etc.QualificationsBachelor's or Associate's degree in Accounting preferred (not required).Minimum 5+ years of experience in full‑cycle AP.Experience managing workflow, training, setting metrics and KPIs, assisting with budget, etc.Experience supporting private‑equity backed companies or similar high‑change environments desired.Prior experience with Tipalti, Acumatica or similar ERP and Excel a plus.Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.High‑functioning team member who is flexible and hard‑working.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Reasons to JoinHigh‑Growth Environment: Be part of a rapidly expanding, acquisitive company with exciting opportunities to shape the future.Innovative Contributions: Lead innovation and implement new strategies that enhance your role and the company’s success.Career Growth: Benefit from numerous internal growth opportunities as the company expands, providing a clear path for advancement.Ambitious Goals: Join a company with aspirations and the financial backing to achieve a $1 billion valuation, positioning itself as the largest player in its vertical.Additional InformationSeniority level: Mid‑Senior levelEmployment type: Full‑timeJob function: Accounting/Auditing and FinanceIndustry: Construction #J-18808-Ljbffr
