Working Title Executive Director, Southwest Regional Sustainable Development Partnership Appointment Full‑time, P&A, Community Relations/Outreach Spec 1 (9341S1) Salary Range $84,000 – $97,000; depending on education, qualifications, experience. Office Location Marshall, Morris, Willmar, or Worthington Extension Regional Offices. Reports To Statewide Program Director, RSDP. Application Deadline December 14, 2025. About the Position The Southwest RSDP is a community‑led partnership that links University faculty, students, and resources with regional projects to advance sustainable agriculture, natural resources, clean energy, and resilient communities. The Executive Director leads the Board, builds relationships across the region, and manages the regional project portfolio, ensuring projects meet goals and deadlines. Responsibilities Build strong partnerships across University and community, expand the University’s presence, and recruit faculty and students for research, education, and outreach projects. Lead the community‑university project portfolio, coordinate program implementation, and engage with regional and statewide initiatives. Provide administrative oversight, supervise staff, manage contracts and funds, communicate progress, and pursue external funding opportunities. Qualifications – Required BA/BS degree plus six years of related experience. Community networking experience in one or more RSDP focus areas or rural development. Leadership, project, and budget management experience. Ability to facilitate diverse groups, communicate effectively, and work independently and in teams. Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and capacity for frequent travel. Qualifications – Preferred Master’s or PhD in a related discipline. Experience supervising professionals and working with under‑represented communities. Experience with contracting, grant writing, and administration. Pay and Benefits Pay Range: $84,000–$97,000. Time Appointment: 100% appointment. Position Type: P&A Staff.
