**Job Description**

Meals on Wheels Central Texas has immediate openings for a part-time drivers to join our team and support our daily operations to deliver meals and other needed items to our clients. The drivers responsibilities include delivering meals to sites and clients in Austin and the surrounding area. Duties include counting meals, assembling, loading, and some heavy lifting. Knowledge of Austin metropolitan and surrounding areas is a plus (but you will have access to GPS). We are seeking dependable, mission-oriented and friendly people with excellent interpersonal communication skills. 29-37 hours per week, M-F (every day). Benefits include paid time off, 401k, paid holidays, and more.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, our delivery operations have changed and hours may be different temporarily. Hours will be discussed at an interview.

Meals on Wheels Central Texas seeks to nourish and enrich the lives of the homebound and other people in need through programs that promote dignity and independent living. Our drivers work in the community serving our clients, assisting our volunteers, and acting as ambassadors for the agency.

**Skills / Requirements**

High School diploma or equivalent

Minimum 1 year work experience

Insurable driver under MOWCTXs insurance policy required

Verifiable references

Ability to lift 50 lbs.
