About the Role We are seeking an experienced Lead QA Engineer to take ownership of quality across our organization. In this critical role, you’ll shape the QA strategy, elevate product reliability, and serve as the bridge between engineering and support—ensuring our platform consistently meets the highest standards of quality, performance, and customer satisfaction. What You’ll Do Own the QA process and culture across the organization; drive integration of quality practices throughout the development lifecycle. Serve as the subject matter expert on product functionality and user workflows. Triage and validate support requests, customer‑reported issues, and system alerts. Identify trends, communicate root causes, and drive resolutions. Leverage AI tooling to accelerate test case design, implementation, execution, and analysis. Champion observability, security, and reliability, using data and metrics to drive continuous improvement. Mentor and guide team members on QA best practices, while developing and maintaining quality documentation. Provide support to the product organization to eliminate requirements defects at the source. Continue to drive state‑of‑the‑art testing techniques into the organization and be the advocate for the customer. Required Qualifications 5+ years of experience in quality assurance for cloud‑based SaaS software, with at least 2 years in a lead or senior role building QA processes from the ground up. Strong understanding of both manual and automated testing methodologies, with experience in test automation tools such as Playwright or Selenium. Proven ability to work cross‑functionally with engineering, product, and support teams. Experience with observability platforms and metrics‑based quality analysis; ability to dive into data and answer questions independently. Excellent communication and documentation skills. Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities. Demonstrated experience with defect triage and prioritization. Familiarity with modern CI/CD workflows and release automation. Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote environment. Preferred Experience Domain expertise in compliance, civic tech, safety systems, or other regulated industries. AI‑based test methodologies. Ability to author test automation systems. Full‑time remote position with flexible work arrangements.
