Ready to write your story?Join MoFo as a SENIOR QUALITY ASSURANCE ENGINEER on our Business Intelligence & Analytics teamThis role can be based in San Francisco, Palo Alto, Los Angeles, San Diego, Denver, Austin, Boston, New York, or Washington, D.C.https://www.mofo.com/officesABOUT THE ROLEThe Senior QA Engineer will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and performance of the firm’s data-driven applications and reporting systems. This role will be responsible for validating data pipelines, dashboards, and analytics solutions that support business operations. The Senior QA Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement data quality best practices, proactively identify and resolve data issues, and uphold the highest standards of data integrity and compliance.Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans for data pipelines, ETL processes, and reporting solutions.Validate data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across data sources, data warehouse, and BI tools.Develop and maintain automated data validation tests using SQL and scripting languages.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and translate them into test cases and quality checks.Monitor data quality metrics and proactively identify and resolve anomalies or issues.Partner with business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure data governance and compliance standards are met.Perform regression testing on data models, dashboards, and reports following updates or deployments.Troubleshoot and optimize data validation processes and queries for performance and scalability.Support end-user testing and training for BI and reporting solutions.Document QA processes, test cases, and results to ensure transparency and continuous improvement.ABOUT YOUBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance or related field; or equivalent work experienceMinimum of 7 years of experience in QA or data quality engineering, with a focus on data analytics and BI environments.Proven experience testing data pipelines, ETL processes, and data warehouse solutions.Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases (e.g., Snowflake, SQL Server, Redshift).Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail.Experience working with data visualization and BI platforms (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI)Experience working in cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure) and with data pipeline tools (e.g., Airflow, dbt).Familiarity with data validation frameworks (e.g., Great Expectations, dbt tests) is a plus.Proven experience working with Elite 3E data is a big plus.Teamwork and Applied SkillsHigh client service ethic and a proven record in delivering exemplary client satisfaction to external and internal client constituencies.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
