Interested in an exciting opportunity to run an independent business managed by East West Hospitality? The Director of Operations oversees the entity Resort Delivery Ventures, LLC. This Senior Leader will directly oversee the operation and management of the business and employees. It leads a team of delivery drivers and grocery shoppers to provide grocery delivery to resort guests in both the Eagle and Roaring Fork valleys. This role is responsible for business development including maintaining hotel and concierge relationships, making sales calls to hotels and management companies and generating new business in the form of additional hotels, locations or other business opportunities. Responsibilities Include:

  • Develops business strategy with EWH's support team, focusing on market expansion and new product development.
  • Collaborates with the Director of Revenue & Strategic Initiatives and Chief Marketing Officer to ensure business profitability and performance.
  • Leads the Resort Delivery team, fostering EWH's culture and nurturing lasting relationships.
  • Supervises and motivates team members, ensuring effective recruitment, training, and performance management.
  • Manages annual budget, reviews monthly financials, and ensures sales and budget targets are met.
  • Oversees team scheduling, payroll, order processing, shopping, and grocery delivery.
  • Plans and oversees capital expenditures, working closely with EWH Finance.
  • Maintains relationships with local concierge, hotel, and management staff with support from the EWH Guest Experience Team.
  • Handles customer service and issue resolution, supported by the EWH Guest Experience Team.
  • Cultivates positive relationships with vendors and partners.
  • Works with the Accounting team to track revenue, expenses, and manage monthly P&L statements.
  • Adheres to all East West Hospitality Employee Manual policies and procedures.
Performance Standards:
  • Jump in on the front line when needed to support the team including shopping and making deliveries.
  • Friendly/Helpful Attitude
  • Ability to work in high pressure environment while maintaining professional and supportive environment for both part-time seasonal employees and full-time employees
  • Make decisions independently and quickly while meeting financial goals set jointly with EWH Finance
Location: Office located in City Market - Vail, CO.

Start Date: ASAP

Employment Status: Full Time, Year Round

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am-6pm. Days and hours may vary, depending on season, recruiting, interviewing, meetings, etc.

Pay Rate: $70k - $80k, DOE, with bonus potential

Minimum Requirements

Successful candidates will possess:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education, with at least 4 years of college.
  • Experience in team management or supervision.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting and organizational tasks.
  • Clear driving record and ability to operate a vehicle for grocery delivery.
  • Capability to comprehend financial reports, sales data, and regulatory documents.
  • Skill in presenting and responding to various audiences.
