As a Technical Program Manager III for Launch Operations and Special Projects, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing special projects related to space hardware and launch processing. Your responsibilities will encompass inputs and outputs to Launch Operations for both internal and external initiatives. You will collaborate closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure the successful processing of space hardware for complex and ambiguous projects that involve space hardware, launch vehicles, satellite dispensers, and payload processing. Your expertise will guide various aspects of projects, including: Testing requirements Assembly and integration work cell design modifications Facility and equipment planning Integration and test application implementation Process control and design for manufacturability Project management and tooling design You will engage with Launch Operations/Mission Management, managing relationships with Launch Providers, Dispenser Providers, and Payload Processing Facility leadership. You’ll also liaise with external vendors as necessary. The ideal candidate thrives in a technical environment, facilitating collaboration across departments to identify optimal solutions, and confidently challenges assumptions and requirements in areas such as dynamics and thermal analysis, design engineering, and tooling engineering. Basic Qualifications 5+ years of technical product or program management experience 7+ years of experience directly working with engineering teams 3+ years of software development experience 5+ years of technical program management experience with software engineering teams Experience managing cross-functional programs, building processes, and coordinating release schedules Preferred Qualifications 5+ years of experience in project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, and quality management, as well as risk and critical path management Experience managing projects across cross-functional teams and creating sustainable processes Ability to define KPIs/SLA to drive multi-million dollar businesses and report to senior leadership Amazon is an equal opportunity employer, fostering an inclusive culture where all Amazonians can achieve their best. The salary for this position ranges from $133,900/year in the lowest geographic market to $231,400/year in the highest, depending on various factors such as market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
