Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Retina Specialist / Retina Surgeon to join a growing ophthalmology team. The ideal candidate will be skilled in diagnosing and treating retinal and vitreous disorders, including macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachment, and related conditions. You will collaborate with ophthalmologists, optometrists, and multidisciplinary care teams to deliver advanced medical and surgical eye care. Locations: Tampa, FL, Fort Myers, FL, Sarasota, FL Key Responsibilities Diagnose and manage diseases of the retina and vitreous. Perform retinal surgeries and laser procedures. Administer intravitreal injections. Interpret diagnostic imaging (OCT, fluorescein angiography, ultrasound). Develop and implement individualized patient treatment plans. Collaborate with other eye care and healthcare professionals. Educate patients about diagnosis and treatment options. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records. Stay up to date on advancements in retinal care and participate in professional education or clinical research. Qualifications MD or DO from an accredited institution. Board Certified / Board Eligible in Ophthalmology. Fellowship training in Vitreoretinal Surgery or Medical Retina. Valid state medical license (or eligibility to obtain). Demonstrated proficiency in retinal diagnostic and surgical techniques. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Commitment to precision, patient safety, and compassionate care.
