Ophthalmologists Physician (General)Bassett Healthcare Network, a progressive, academic health system in central New York and major teaching affiliate of Columbia University, is seeking an Ophthalmologist to join our staff.OverviewJoin an established group of 6 Ophthalmologists and 3 Optometrists.Job Description & ResponsibilitiesHigh-volume cataract surgeon—general ophthalmologist.Specialists in surgical and medical retina, cornea, pediatrics, and glaucoma; sub‑specialty interest in glaucoma, oculoplastics, cornea, and cataract surgery would be welcome.The support staff is well trained and experienced in both clinic and operating room.On call every 6th weekend and rarely busy.Salary Range: $433,000 – $525,000. Compensation is based on qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training and industry standards.Bassett offers physicians an incentive plan with no earnings cap; individual performance and productivity can significantly enhance compensation within the first year.Residency stipend up to $40,000 for up to 18 months prior to graduation.Sign‑on bonus up to $100,000.Group employed model.Job RequirementsMD, DO or MBBS.Board‑eligible or board‑certified.New York State licensure.BLS certification required.DEA registration required.Misc BenefitsMedical, dental and vision insurance.Paid time off, including vacations and holidays.Life insurance and disability protection.Paid malpractice.Retirement plan.CME time and money.Supportive transition bonus.Seniority levelEntry level.Employment typeFull‑time.Job functionHealth Care Provider.IndustryHospitals and Health Care. #J-18808-Ljbffr
