Mechanical Engineer



HindlePower is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our engineering team.

Your primary responsibility will be leading our mechanical engineering efforts across all our products.



Position Responsibilities:



• Design improvements and upgrades to our battery cabinet line

• Work with external consultants to certify our equipment toward seismic standards

• Conduct FEA analysis of component assemblies

• Manage and help streamline work through our drafting team

• Thermal dissipation designs of power electronics through component location and heatsinking.

• Environmental heating and cooling design of battery cabinets

• Develop and design custom tooling for manufacturing

• Design component assemblies for automation

• Issue assembly drawings for manufacturing

• Ensure our cabinet designs comply with ASME and ANSI standards



Desired Requirement/Experience:

• BS/MS in an Engineering discipline preferred

• 5+ years of Mechanical Engineering experience

• Experience working in a manufacturing company

• Fluent use of SolidWorks or similar

• Experience designing sheet metal enclosures

• Thermal analysis of electrical/mechanical assemblies

• Heat dissipation design experience



Preferred Additional Requirements:

• Experience or knowledge of thermodynamic insulation systems is a plus

• An understanding of power electronic systems

• Experience reading electrical schematics
