As a Patient Services Representative II (Phlebotomist), you'll play a vital role in our healthcare team by drawing blood samples from patients and preparing them for lab testing. You'll interact directly with patients, creating a positive and reassuring atmosphere, while ensuring accuracy and safety in your work.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately and efficiently collect blood samples from patients of all ages, following established procedures.
- Prepare specimens for lab testing, ensuring proper labeling and storage.
- Verify patient information and obtain patient signatures.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Provide exceptional customer service, building trust and confidence with patients.
- Demonstrate leadership behaviors and a commitment to process excellence.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred
- Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in California, Nevada, and Washington)
- 3+ years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections
- 2+ years of experience in a patient service center environment preferred
- Strong customer service skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends, holidays, and overtime
