Job Title: Manufacturing Technician I
Job Duration: 3 Months
Job Location: Tewksbury, MA 01876
Shift: 6:00AM to 2:30PM, 6:30AM to 3:00PM, or 7:00AM to 3:30PM
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Component assembly with UV cured epoxy and aligned via feedback from Optical spectrum analyzers, power meters and CCD cameras
- Responsible for processing work orders for the manufacture of optical components
- Adhere to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements of the job function
- Adhere to ISO9000 requirements including ESD, work area cleanliness, maintenance and calibration of equipment and work instruction adherence
- Train new technicians
- Participate in daily team stand-up meetings; communicating daily challenges and/or ideas
- Participate and lead improvement events (such as Kaizen, 5S, Practical Process Improvement)
- Maintain a safe working environment, following established 5S procedures
- Flexibility to cross train in other areas of the process
Experience Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- The ideal candidate will have at least 1-3 years of relevant experience
- Detailed oriented
- Computer knowledge a must
- Show ability to work with small parts under microscope using tweezers and other small tools
- Past experience in the manufacture of opto-electrical devices where light is being controlled by free space optics is preferred
- Able to use different equipment such as, optical spectrum analyzer, optical power meter, etc.
- Soldering experience a plus
