Job Description:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Clinical Social Worker to join our Inpatient Addiction Recovery Service. The Social Worker will be responsible for assessing and treating patients and their families within a Level IV Detox Unit. The ideal candidate will provide a range of clinical interventions to support addiction recovery, including individual, group, and family therapy. Additionally, they will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure timely and effective care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Psychosocial Assessment: Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments to evaluate patients' addiction history, behavioral health issues, emotional concerns, coping styles, and understanding of their illness. Assess barriers to care, cultural issues, and potential cases of abuse, neglect, or domestic violence.
  • Clinical Interventions: Provide individualized treatment through daily patient meetings, offering emotional support, aftercare planning, and referrals to community resources and programs. Address patients' psychosocial, financial, legal, and dual diagnosis issues that may impact their care.
  • Family Systems Work: When appropriate, engage in brief family systems work, offering psychoeducation and emotional support, and facilitating family or team meetings to assist with aftercare planning.
  • Group Therapy Facilitation: Lead evidence-based group therapy sessions focusing on topics such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), behavior change, and relapse prevention strategies.
  • Collaboration & Consultation: Collaborate with other disciplines within the unit, providing social work consultations to ensure integrated patient care and address all psychosocial aspects of treatment.

Qualifications:
  • Education: Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program.
  • Experience: Prior experience in addiction recovery services or behavioral health is highly preferred.
  • Skills: Strong clinical skills in psychosocial assessment, individual and group therapy, and crisis intervention. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Certifications: Licensure as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or equivalent in the state.
