Overview AWS SOLUTIONS ARCHITECT (contract) role at KPMG US. Remote contractor position with potential travel to Boston; candidates in East Coast or Central time zones preferred. KPMG Assignment Select is geared toward independent professionals interested in temporary or project-based work. Our team is comprised of highly trained third-party professionals who are in the right place at the right time with the right skillset. KPMG is working through its partnership with MBO Partners and is currently seeking a remote contractor in the United States. Responsibilities Architectural Design and Implementation: Design and develop scalable, secure, and robust AI solutions on AWS. Utilize AWS services such as SageMaker, Lambda, ECS, RDS, and others to build and deploy AI models and applications. Optimize for performance, scalability, and security. Collaboration and Leadership: Work closely with data scientists and AI/ML engineers to understand requirements and translate them into effective architectural solutions. Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams, ensuring best practices in AI and cloud architecture. Optimization and Performance Tuning: Optimize AI and machine learning models for performance and cost-efficiency. Ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and disaster recovery for AI solutions. Experience Proven experience as an AWS Architect with a strong focus on AI/ML solutions. Hands-on experience with Lucia 2.0, including deployment and integration is strongly preferred. Strong understanding of AWS services and best practices for cloud-based AI solutions. Technical Skills: Proficient in programming languages such as Python, Java, or similar. Experience with AI/ML frameworks and libraries is strongly preferred. Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). Strong knowledge of database technologies (SQL and NoSQL). Qualifications Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Preferred Qualifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional. Experience with large-scale data processing frameworks (e.g., Apache Spark). Familiarity with other AI/ML tools and platforms. Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold the firm’s respectful and courteous work environment. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.
