Job Title: AWS Application Migration Solution ArchitectLocation: Kennesaw, GA or Dallas, TX or Charlotte NCType- Fulltime Role OverviewWe are seeking an experienced AWS Application Migration Solution Architect to lead the planning and execution of largescale application migrations to AWS The role focuses on assessing legacy application portfolios defining migration strategies rehost replatform refactor and executing migration waves using AWS native services and frameworks The ideal candidate combines strong cloud solutioning experience with practical migration delivery expertise across complex enterprise environments Key ResponsibilitiesLead AWS Migration Acceleration Programs MAP define migration frameworks methodologies and best practices for largescale application migrationConduct application discovery and dependency mapping using AWS tools such as Migration Hub Application Discovery Service and Application Migration ServiceDevelop migration roadmaps and wave plans including effort estimation risk assessment and migration sequencingArchitect target state AWS landing zones and integration models aligned with security compliance and performance requirementsDesign and oversee migration execution leveraging AWS native services automation tools and partner acceleratorsWork closely with application owners QA and security teams to ensure readiness cutover rollback and validationRecommend modernization paths containerization serverless refactoring managed databases for selected workloads where applicableProvide governance and reporting on migration progress technical issues and remediation actionsPartner with AWS ProServe internal teams and external vendors to ensure alignment with migration objectives Required Skills Experience10 years of experience in solution architecture with 5 years leading cloud application migrationsStrong expertise in AWS migration and modernization services includingApplication Migration Service MGNMigration Hub and Discovery ServiceDatabase Migration Service DMSAWS MAP frameworks and toolingProven experience with migration assessment and planning including portfolio rationalization and 6R strategy Rehost Replatform Refactor etcKnowledge of application architectures Java NET middleware APIs and how they map to AWS servicesExperience in cloud security IAM networking and compliance for enterprise applicationsFamiliarity with migration validation functional performance UAT and postmigration optimizationAWS Solutions Architect Professional or Associate certification required Preferred QualificationsExperience migrating or modernizing applications in financial services or other regulated environmentsKnowledge of containerization ECS EKS and serverless Lambda for postmigration modernizationStrong stakeholder and program management skills in multivendor delivery modelsPrior experience engaging with AWS ProServe or MAP partner programsEducationBachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science information systems or a related field SkillsMandatory Skills: AWS Well Architected Tools, AWS Cloud Architecture, Cloud Solution Architecture, Cloud Architecture, Enterprise Cloud Architecture
