School Based Mental Health Internships - Stipends of $60,000

Tennessee is seeking a cohort of school psychology interns for the upcoming school year (Fall 2024 - Spring 2025). Through the Project RAISE initiative, rural Tennessee districts are offering stipends of up to $60,000 for a 2-year commitment in Tennessee schools after the internship (including 1 year in a rural district). Relocation grants of up to $1200 are available. The mission of Project RAISE is to provide rural communities with access to professional mental health services for all students in the district. 70 internships available

Eligible candidates must be in their internship year in an accredited school psychology program.

We have a simple, two-step process to apply and confirm your participation in our project. We will collect information about you, and then we ll request information about your university/degree program and internship site. Step 1: Submit the Project RAISE application at the link below.
Be prepared to provide your:

  • Contact information
  • Educational experiences, including contact information of the program or field coordinator/department chair of your current program
  • Internship placement plans (e.g., start term, number of required hours, internship site planning details)

Step 2: Y ou will complete the Project RAISE application; a link will be provided to you when you submit the information in step one.
Be prepared to submit:

  • Details about your internship:
    • School district, contact information for site/field-based and university supervisors
  • Information about other project-related considerations for funding
  • Assurances of project requirements
  • Copies of signed agreements (forms provided/required by your university program and/or school district may be accepted, please see examples available on the Project RAISE website ).

Further guidance will be provided in your application confirmation email. Please note that submitting an application does not guarantee funds. The availability of funds is limited and you will be notified via email if you are accepted to receive Project RAISE grant funds. You will not be eligible for funds until both steps of the process have been completed.
