The Appian Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing business process management (BPM) applications using the Appian low‑code platform. A developer in this role will contribute to Northern Trust's digital transformation initiatives under strategies like the Northern Trust Whole Office™.Location – Chicago - Day one OnsiteKey ResponsibilitiesApplication Development: Design, develop, and deploy process automation and workflow applications using the Appian platform. This includes building user interfaces (using SAIL), process models, records, and business rules.System Integration: Integrate Appian applications with external systems, databases, and APIs to create seamless, end‑to‑end business solutions.Requirements Analysis: Work with business analysts and stakeholders to gather and translate business requirements into technical specifications and solution designs.Code Quality & Best Practices: Ensure adherence to Appian development best practices, Northern Trust's architecture frameworks, and coding standards. Participate in code and design reviews to maintain high-quality deliverables.Testing and Optimization: Participate in application testing (unit, integration, and user acceptance) and debugging to ensure functionality and optimal performance.
