Role Description The Sales Director sets the strategic vision for the sales department, translating company objectives into actionable sales plans. They inspire and lead the sales team to achieve ambitious targets while fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement. This role requires a blend of strategic planning, sales leadership, and proven b2b solution selling skills. Responsibilities Drive revenue growth: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients and prospects. Performance management: Provide ongoing coaching and constructive feedback to improve individual and team performance. Set clear goals and monitor progress against these goals. Strategy and planning: Develop and execute comprehensive, long-term sales strategies to achieve revenue goals and expand market share. Create and implement a sales playbook that defines the vision, process, and culture for the sales organization. Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to identify new business opportunities and adjust strategies. Leverage sales analytics and performance metrics to make data-driven decisions. Process optimization: Manage and optimize the overall sales process and technology stack to improve efficiency and productivity. Collaborate with internal and external resources. Forecasting and reporting: Accurately forecast sales trends and report on performance to executive leadership, providing insights and strategic recommendations. Qualifications Proven experience: as sales producer and sales manager in solution selling. Relevant industry experience is a plus. Exceptional leadership: Must have a strong ability to inspire, coach, and empower a sales team, leading by example and fostering a culture of trust and transparency. Strategic and analytical mindset: The ability to think critically, use data to make informed decisions, and develop comprehensive, long-range plans is crucial. Strong communication skills: Possesses exceptional verbal and written communication skills to articulate the sales vision, provide feedback, and build relationships with clients and internal teams. Adaptability and agility: Must be able to respond quickly and effectively to changing market conditions, competitor activities, and internal shifts.
